This page explains how to request deletion of your Kabootr account and the personal data linked to it. Kabootr is the developer name shown on our Google Play listing.
How to request account deletion
- Send an email to contact@kabootr.in from the email address linked to your Kabootr account. Use the subject line "Kabootr account deletion request".
- In the email, include the mobile number registered on your Kabootr account so we can verify your identity.
- We will confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days. You may receive a final confirmation once deletion is complete.
Prefer phone? Call 8750-8000-99 and ask to delete your Kabootr account. We may still ask you to confirm by email.
What we delete
When your deletion request is approved and processed, we delete or anonymise the following data associated with your account:
- Profile information (name, email address, and mobile number)
- Saved delivery addresses
- Order history visible in the app
- In-app wallet balance and transaction history shown in your account
- App preferences, notification settings, and support chat history tied to your account
- Location history stored for your account (such as recent delivery locations)
What we may keep
Some information may be retained after account deletion where we are required or permitted to do so by law:
- Payment and transaction records — kept for up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance under applicable Indian law. These records are disassociated from your active account profile where possible.
- Records related to disputes, fraud prevention, or legal claims — kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter, typically up to 3 years after the issue is closed.
- Aggregated or anonymised analytics — kept indefinitely because it no longer identifies you.
Before you delete
- Complete or cancel any active orders. Deletion may be delayed until open orders are resolved.
- Withdraw or use any remaining wallet balance. Unused balances may be forfeited after deletion, subject to applicable law.
- Deletion is permanent. You will need to create a new account to use Kabootr again.
